Ascending the Tower

For as long as anyone can remember, it has stood at the outskirts of
civilization, surrounded by wilderness and decay that ripples outward
from it like a cancer. Sometimes pilgrims come to visit, or locals
disappear, or brave soldiers storm it; it stands, unchanging.

Now, you find yourself standing at its base staring up at its expanse
with a handful of others. Some wear the garb of distant lands, others of
times long past, some rags, some finery.

You will need to depend on them, as much as they depend on you, if you
are to accomplish your mission here.

Ascending is an RPG for 2-5 players, written for Ben K. Rosenbloom's Three Forged Jam 2019. It was built in three stages by maenad, sohkrates, and katamoiran.
